This app is visually beautiful. However, using it is painful. First off, Touch ID never works, and I always get a message saying Touch ID has been temporarily disabled. Second, the Apple Watch app never works. Third, the app is just slow overall. And lastly, the deposit Cherie function doesnt work most of the time. Design can stay the same, but the function has to be improved drastically!
It keeps freezing while using direct investing. Not good at all!!
This is the worst version of the app, goes really well with the rest of your badly designed website. Cant find rates easily, cheque deposit works half the time and what the hell is that credit card balance circle for ? Visual clutter and lazy design? You are Canadas #1 bank , how about your app reflects that ?

Wow, this was the nicest surprise. Really glad the team finally incorpated TouchID. Perfect.
With an iPad Pro and the keyboard, this app does not rotate to use in landscape mode which make it not worth using on an iPad. Other than that the app works well.
Did you ever need to buy a stock, pay a bill, transfer funds, check the status of a payment/deposit in an urgent fashion? Well, dont rely on this app because it fails, crashes, log outs every single time You use it. I would fire everyone involved in the development of this app. Dont bother with it. I think it is more efficient to walk to a branch.
This app does not rotate to adapt to the position of the tablets. Larger tablets such as ipad air at almost 10 inches are mostly used with a frame and attached keyboard, and therefore used horizontally. The app presents in vertical (portrait) mode only, therefore cannot be used unless we detach the frame with keyboad from the tablet. Unbelievable.
Im a Canadian living the USA and Ive been unable to update my RBC app. I still have an account with you & use it. Please fix this. Otherwise Im happy with the app. Thank you.
Freezes on security question, every time, which makes it totally useless.
Just what the title says, please add a check deposit feature. Most other banking apps I know of have this feature. There isnt a reason for you to not have one either.
Im glad to have this app to track my Canadian accounts. Would like the app to include access to my linked RBC Bank USA (GA) account in the future.
Hey RBC! TouchID has been around for a year and a half, and it would be really nice to use the screen real estate of the 6/6+. Also needs to deposit by photographing a cheque. Modernize the app!
A major fail for a major Canadian bank. Unlike many countries where you can use your phone to photograph a check for deposit this, RBC app isnt able to do this. Come on RBC - join the 21st century.
It would be nice to see our US accounts alongside the Canadians ones just like on the website. This was one of the driving reasons for choosing RBC.
I am a new customer of RBC, happy with the customer service, but I am impressed of how dated the website / online banking / mobile apps are. Can’t believe I am still these such an old design and unfriendly UI. Took me 5 minutes to figure out how to change my email. in. Please hire a design agency and do something with it, it’s not a big bank like RBC should look like in 2015!!
RBC, this app lacks any update to design/UI since initial launch, its pitiful. Even more egregious is your lack of support for your own products: linked US accounts, to name one. Why would a Canadian now living in the U.S. put up with a subpar mobile experience when the banks in the U.S. have much better apps to manage ones money. Not to mention how long it took to roll out mobile cheque deposit. Lack of Touch ID support, a slow loading app, improper support for iPhone 6+. You extract fees and interest from us customers, how about you earn some good will back and build a new app. Its been a long time coming.
Of course, this app is useful for online banking purposes. I do wish, however, that the UI was updated past iOS 4.2 elements. It looks ancient and could seriously use a facelift.
